Talent Acquisition Specialist

Richmond, Virginia | Full Time | On-site | $60,000 to $65,000 At HandCraft, our people are our greatest competitive advantage. We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist who can build strong candidate pipelines, evaluate talent, and serve as a trusted partner to hiring managers. You will typically manage 8 to 12 open positions at a time, most frequently recruiting production associates, maintenance technicians, skilled trades professionals, and CDL and non-CDL drivers, while also supporting professional and other positions as needed. What You Will Do Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies Source, screen, interview, and recommend qualified candidates Build pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill positions Coordinate interviews, reference checks, offer preparation, and pre‑employment hiring activities Maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring managers Maintain accurate ATS and HRIS records Use recruiting data, technology, and responsible AI tools to improve efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes Support job fairs, community outreach, employer branding, and onboarding activities What We Are Looking For Three to five years of full‑cycle recruiting experience Experience recruiting both hourly and exempt positions Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills Excellent communication, organization, and relationship‑building abilities Experience using applicant tracking and HRIS systems Ability to manage multiple open positions with accuracy and follow‑through A strong customer service and continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to embrace new technology and responsible AI use Preferred Experience Recruiting in manufacturing, transportation, logistics, distribution, skilled trades, or another operational environment.
