Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office, where you will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Formulate and implement treatment plans, including effective medication management while closely monitoring treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary team members to offer coordinated care that integrates both physical and mental health services.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute emotional distress, ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives, enhancing mental health awareness and reducing stigma in the community.
• Deliver therapeutic support through counseling sessions and psychoeducation, equipping patients with coping strategies for their mental health challenges.
• Maintain accurate and confidential mental health records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide care to a varied patient population, including individuals from different cultural backgrounds and varying ages. We specialize in catering to those with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and more. We aim to address both mental and physical health needs through an integrated approach, ensuring comprehensive care for each individual.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with psychiatric specialization.
• Strong theoretical foundation and clinical skills in psychiatric care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a community health center or similar healthcare setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
