Reservationist

Transdev in San Jose, CA is hiring a Reservationist to intercept customer calls and schedule transportation. We are seeking friendly, customer service-oriented people who are dedicated to safety.

CBA Position:


Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• $22.48 an hour starting pay (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Rate)
• Starting pay $22.48 an hour with progression to $24.37 an hour over 5 years.

Benefits include:

• Vacation: 1 week (40 hours) paid vacation after 1 full year of service
• Paid Sick Leave: 5 days accrued per year of employment
• Holidays: 10
• Medical, dental & vision benefits after 60 calendar days of employment for full-time employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer customer calls and input ride information using a computerized scheduling system.
• Enter new customer information and changes into the system.
• Data entry into spreadsheets and databases.
• Communicate late vehicle service and verifying "No Shows" with customers.
• Resolve service-related complaints.
• Create daily route maps of the reservations for the drivers.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years reservationist or customer service experience.
• Computer literate
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:


The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• 100% of the job is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities
• Sit, type and look at a computer screen for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day)
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
