CNC Machinist / Programmer - HAAS CNC

Job Title: CNC Programmer / Machinist (Direct Hire) Location: Leominster, MA (Onsite) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (Flexible within shift) Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Job Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team in Leominster, MA. In this direct hire role, you will program, set up, and operate HAAS CNC milling and/or turning machines, as well as perform manual machining to produce and refurbish high-precision components. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on machining experience, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a commitment to quality, safety, and on‑time production. Key Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes Create, edit, load, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code and HAAS controls Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for optimal machining performance Perform first‑piece inspections and in‑process quality checks using precision measuring tools Operate manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, etc.) Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards Track production progress and communicate status with the team Maintain safe machine operation and follow all shop safety procedures Cross‑train in related machining and assembly functions as needed Required Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment Hands‑on experience with HAAS CNC machines and G-code programming Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models Experience with manual machining (Bridgeport, lathes, grinders, drill press, etc.) Skilled in selecting tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) High school diploma or GED preferred Preferred Experience Background in precision manufacturing industries such as aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or job shop/contract machining.
