Responsibilities
- Deliver bedside care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses on a MS/Tele unit
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage related cardiac conditions
- Administer medications, perform venipuncture and IV placement, and collect specimens as needed
- Participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activations; respond to emergent events
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IV/Respiratory/PT/Radiology/Pharmacy/Social Services), and support staff (Unit Secretary, PCTs)
- Maintain infection control, isolation precautions, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management; assist with ADLs and patient transport
- Chart accurately in Epic and document care plans, assessments, and interventions

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in-hand for submission; local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
- BLS certification in-hand
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
- Phlebotomy and IV placement competency required (mandatory for this facility)
- Epic EMR experience is expected for submission (Epic experience preferred)
- NIHSS certification listed but not confirmed as required
- Ability to float within scope to related MS/Tele and cardiac-related units
- Orientation totaling 16 hours; pre-start modules required (up to 5 hours billable)
- RTO restrictions: no more than 1 week of approved time off; longer RTO may affect eligibility
