Requirements License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Licensed dental hygienist Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient Care: Gentle, compassionate, and patient-centered approach Teamwork: Dependable and able to work well as part of a team Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply Job Description Overview: Provide preventive and periodontal dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing as appropriate. Patient Care: Perform periodontal probing, charting, oral cancer screenings, preventive assessments, and take diagnostic dental radiographs. Apply fluoride and sealants as appropriate. Patient Education: Educate patients about oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care. Administration: Review patients' medical and dental histories and maintain accurate and complete patient records. Collaborate with the dentist regarding patient needs and treatment recommendations. Compliance: Follow infection-control, sterilization, OSHA, and office protocols while helping create a comfortable and positive experience for every patient.
