Corporate Paralegal

Associate Counsel UnifyCX is growing and looking for an Associate Counsel to join our motivated and ambitious team. The Associate Counsel will provide practical, business-oriented legal support for UnifyCX's U.S. and international operations. This individual-contributor role is designed for an attorney who can independently manage a substantial commercial contract workload, advise business teams on routine legal matters, and recognize when an issue requires executive review or specialized outside counsel. The role works closely with Sales, Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Security, and Compliance. Key Responsibilities Commercial Contracting Day-to-Day Business Counseling Privacy, Data Security, and Responsible Technology Employment and Workforce Support Claims, Governance, and Entity Support Legal Operations and External Counsel Required Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school and active, good-standing membership in at least one U.S. state bar. Approximately 4-7 years of relevant legal experience, including meaningful in-house or client-facing commercial work. Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial services, technology, data-processing, or outsourcing agreements. Working knowledge of privacy, data security, employment, intellectual property, and general corporate legal issues. Ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize competing demands, and exercise sound judgment with limited day-to-day supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain legal risk in clear business terms. Preferred Qualifications Experience with a business process outsourcing, technology-enabled services, SaaS, healthcare services, or other regulated business. Experience supporting multi-state or international operations and coordinating with local counsel. Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC2, PCI DSS, ISO27001, U.S. state privacy laws, GDPR, cybersecurity requirements, artificial intelligence governance, and other common security frameworks. Experience with contract lifecycle management or legal matter-management systems. Templates, playbooks, and legal records remain current, organized, and consistently used. Business teams receive clear guidance that reflects both legal risk and operational realities. Outside counsel is engaged thoughtfully and managed efficiently when specialized expertise is required. Work arrangement: Remote within the United States; occasional travel may be required.
