Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in patient recovery and rehabilitation through the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' orthopedic conditions, ensuring accurate diagnoses to inform treatment strategies.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's individual recovery goals.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise regimens, and functional training to enhance mobility and strength.
• Provide education and guidance to patients on proper movement mechanics, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies, fostering independence and long-term health.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
• Maintain and update detailed patient records using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Stay abreast of advancements in orthopedic physical therapy practices and continually seek opportunities for professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily involve working with an elderly clientele, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain conditions, or undergoing rehabilitation following accidents or sports injuries. Your expertise will be vital in improving their physical mobility, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging effectively with patients and their families.
• The ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to unique patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
