This full-time position involves delivering high-quality physical therapy services to patients in their homes, focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation and recovery. Work Environment

This position is exclusively onsite in a home care setting, allowing you to work closely with patients in their own environments. As a Physical Therapist, you will travel to various patient homes, benefiting from the unique opportunity to assess and treat patients in a familiar and comfortable space. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough initial consultations with patients to evaluate their physical condition and review comprehensive medical histories.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction through observation and dialogue, identifying areas that require intervention.
• Crafting individualized, evidence-based treatment plans designed specifically for each patient, which may encompass therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
• Instructing patients on therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique to maximize effectiveness and minimize injury risks.
• Implementing hands-on therapy approaches, such as massage and joint mobilization, to alleviate pain and foster healing.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and progress notes, regularly updating treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
• Providing patients and their families with advice regarding in-home treatment options and the expectations of the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will focus primarily on adult and elderly patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. With a patient volume averaging two patients per hour, you will have the opportunity to build substantial relationships, understanding their unique needs and tailoring your treatments to maximize each patient's recovery potential.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of professional experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, demonstrating a solid foundation in treatment methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate positive interactions and relationships with clients.
• Excellent communication abilities to effectively liaise with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications describe the necessary skills and experience, preference will be given to candidates with:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Additional certifications in relevant areas such as manual therapy or specialized rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience working with geriatric populations or in home health environments.

Compensation and Benefits
