STMA Schools We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12. Position Overview & Responsibilities Responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen from the food production to staff support, while ensuring the MN State Department of Education, US Department of Agriculture, and school policies and procedures are being met. This position also develops and maintains cooperative, productive workplace relationships in a manner that creates a pleasant environment for those serving and those being served. Start Date Aug. 17, 2026 Contract: 194 days Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00-2:30 including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week) Salary & Benefits Starting Rate: $24.24-$24.72 per hour Our benefits offerings include: Medical Coverage (including options for VEBA, HSA or FSA), Dental Coverage, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability Coverage, and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts. Requirements & Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with previous food service experience required. Must obtain a MN Food Protection Manager Certification and SNA Level 4 Certification within one year of hire date. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Must possess strong organizational skills and have the ability to work with a diverse group of people. Must have strong communication skills. Prior managerial experience preferred.
