Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and initial interviews to understand the psychological and social contexts of clients' complaints, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of each patient, providing evidence-based interventions that align with their personal goals.

• Communicate effectively with clients, presenting clinical material in relatable terms, while maintaining high standards for internal and external customer service.

• Document clinical encounters in a timely and organized manner within patients' charts, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.

• Establish a sense of urgency based on clients’ needs, especially for those in crisis, and provide immediate therapeutic support as required.

• Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients facing behavioral health challenges intertwined with their medical conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, including individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health issues. Many clients at our community health clinic present with co-occurring medical conditions that affect their mental health. Your role will involve not just providing therapy but also contributing to a holistic approach that addresses both mental and physical health needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• An active and unrestricted state-specific licensure is mandatory.

• At least two (2) years of post-graduate mental health therapy experience within the last five (5) years, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to professional development.

• Proficiency in providing telehealth services and a solid understanding of teletherapy best practices.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum requirement is two years of experience, we value candidates with a diverse background in different treatment methodologies, especially those who possess experience working in integrated healthcare settings. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
