Labor Associate – Midlevel – West Coast Offices Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks a midlevel associate with four to six years of experience to join its robust Labor, Employment & Immigration practice in Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Anchorage. The associate will work closely with a collaborative team of attorneys representing employers in a broad range of traditional labor matters and workplace disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to build a sophisticated labor practice with significant client contact and hands-on responsibility. Responsibilities Advise and represent employers in labor relations matters, including union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration proceedings, unfair labor practice charges, and labor-management disputes Support clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, motions, briefs, and other advocacy materials Participate in client counseling on labor and employment compliance issues Collaborate with teams across offices and practice groups on complex workplace matters Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and practical legal guidance Contribute to business development initiatives, client alerts, and thought leadership opportunities Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction Four to six years of relevant labor and employment experience at a law firm, government agency, or comparable legal environment Experience handling traditional labor matters and advising employers on labor relations issues Prior experience with the NLRB Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced practice Why DWT Direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility Collegial, team-oriented environment with strong mentorship Opportunities to work on sophisticated labor matters for leading national and regional employers Commitment to professional development, training, and career growth Inclusive and collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives and experiences Flexible and hybrid work opportunities depending on office and practice needs Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: The annualized salary range for this position is $225,000 to $330,000 in Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco;,$215,000 to $315,000 in Portland, and $158,000 to $258,000 in Anchorage. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Paid Time Off (PTO): full-time employees receive sick leave benefits in accordance with the appropriate state Sick & Safe Leave Policy.
