Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, creating individualized therapy plans tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, providing counseling to individuals, families, and groups across various settings.

• Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused approaches to promote healing and progress.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients, participating in case discussions and consultative efforts.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of clinical documentation.

• Engage in professional development activities, including workshops and training sessions, to stay abreast of advancements in mental health practices and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client base will consist of diverse individuals and families with varying mental health needs. You will primarily work with clients who experience challenges such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma histories, and substance misuse issues. Your ability to connect with clients from different backgrounds and adapt your therapeutic approach accordingly will be crucial in achieving positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Connecticut is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical environment, is essential.

• A strong understanding of legal and ethical counseling standards.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and client caseload.
