Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist Location: Chicago, IL Pay: $33.79 per hour Schedule: Fully Onsite We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist for a temporary assignment in Chicago, IL. This position is ideal for claims professionals with strong Illinois workers’ compensation experience who excel at customer service, claim resolution, and cost-effective claims management. Key Responsibilities Manage a full caseload of Illinois workers’ compensation claims, including lost-time claims Investigate complex claims and gather information to determine exposure and liability Develop and execute action plans to drive timely and effective claim resolutions Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves throughout the life of each claim Calculate, approve, and process benefit payments and claim adjustments Ensure compliance with Illinois workers’ compensation regulations and state filing requirements Coordinate investigations, vendor referrals, and litigation management activities Identify opportunities for cost containment and claim recovery Communicate claim status and updates with injured employees, stakeholders, and service partners Maintain accurate claim documentation, coding, and reporting Escalate complex issues to leadership when appropriate Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree preferred 3–5 years of Illinois Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience required Experience managing lost-time claims and complex claim investigations Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to prioritize multiple claims while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr Pro Staff
