Job Description The Grounds Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, neat, and orderly grounds to ensure an attractive and welcoming appearance of the property. Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all property grounds, including mowing, edging, weeding, raking leaves, and sweeping parking lots, garages, and walkways.
- Plant, remove, relocate, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping elements to support an attractive property appearance.
- Remove trash, debris, and litter from all exterior areas and parking facilities; empty and maintain trash receptacles as needed.
- Inspect and ensure that signs, posts, fencing, and related fixtures are straight, secure, and in good condition.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for guests and team members by identifying and reporting hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor while interacting with guests and fellow team members.
- Develop working knowledge of the property's facilities and entertainment offerings in order to assist guests when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Maintenance and Facilities departments.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in grounds, facilities, or general maintenance preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete on-the-job training.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools and equipment is helpful.
- Strong- attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced-, interruptive environment.
- Knowledge of maintenance safety practices, including PPE usage and hazard recognition.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors.
- Exposure to varied temperatures, weather conditions, fumes, chemicals, and confined areas.
