Business Data Analyst

This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to three (3) days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor I, this position serves as a fleet asset data analyst responsible for the more independent, varied, complex, comprehensive research, and analytical and statistical methods used in data analysis and projections to assist OFAM management with evaluating and managing statewide fleet compliance with State/Federal laws, mandates and policies utilizing Microsoft Suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and web reporting tools.

This position may be downgraded to Research Data Analyst I for recruitment purposes. If downgraded, duties will be adjusted accordingly.


This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.

This position may require travel.
