Overview 303 Animal Clinic offers up to a $1,500 travel stipend for Clinical Year Externships! An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day‑to‑day operations of the practice, and to gain valuable hands‑on clinical experience. Responsibilities Gather patient histories Perform physical examinations Create treatment plans Diagnostic and dentistry services Observe or assist in surgical procedures Medical management of patients Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients Eligibility and Stipend All veterinary students (regardless of class year) in the clinical portion of their education are encouraged to participate.
