Work Environment

This role is based in our modern outpatient office located in Valley Stream, New York, designed with patient comfort and accessibility in mind. You will be working a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours available (9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm), allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, identifying impairments and establishing functional limitations that need to be addressed.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to massage, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises, aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Participate in clinical teaching by providing mentorship to physical therapy interns and residents, fostering their clinical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care, creating a cohesive patient management approach.
• Guide the clinical research initiatives in your area of expertise, focusing on outcomes that contribute to the advancement of orthopedic therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Restore Strength, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, and other conditions requiring rehabilitative care. Our patient population ranges from young athletes to active seniors, all seeking the highest level of care to return to their daily activities and achieve their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid New York State Physical Therapy license.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in orthopedic physical therapy or a related setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills are essential for this role.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
