Sr Lead Software Engineer - UAT Data Governance

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus at least five years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building workflow-driven automation platforms, such as orchestration services, internal developer platforms, or data platforms.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, or Go, with experience building APIs and distributed services.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation pipelines, and operational practices, including runbooks, incident response, on-call readiness, and postmortems.
• Proven ability to manage complex cross-system dependencies and coordinate releases or operational events across multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with in-depth expertise in one or more technical disciplines.
• Ability to independently resolve design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight.
• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Preferred: Experience with test data management or UAT environment refreshes in large-scale, regulated environments.
• Preferred: Familiarity with data protection patterns such as masking or tokenization, privacy-by-design, and controlled data access models.
• Preferred: Experience with event-driven systems, scheduling or orchestration frameworks, and platform reliability engineering.
• Preferred: Exposure to modern cloud-native patterns, including containers, infrastructure-as-code, service observability, and data ecosystem components.
• Preferred: Experience building reusable platform services, self-service workflows, paved paths, and golden patterns.
• Preferred: Systems-thinking skills, including understanding data flows and failure modes across multiple Sources of Record and downstream consumers.

• Lead the strategy, operating model, and engineering execution for scalable UAT data provisioning in Asset & Wealth Management.
• Own the platform and governance outcomes for UAT data refreshes and provisioning.
• Define provisioning strategy and standards, including reference architecture, reusable patterns, and consistent adoption pathways.
• Manage the UAT Data Platform roadmap, prioritizing capabilities that improve dataset availability, environment stability, and repeatable testing outcomes.
• Establish governance and operational controls for UAT data, including access management, auditability, retention, and quality and validation checks, partnering with risk and control stakeholders as needed.
• Coordinate end-to-end UAT refreshes across multiple Sources of Record, covering dependency mapping, sequencing, cutover planning, runbook execution, and stakeholder communications.
• Develop self-service capabilities for refresh requests, automated workflows, standardized validation, and clear status tracking and traceability.
• Promote engineering excellence and platform reliability through secure coding, CI/CD, operational readiness, incident response, postmortems, and continuous improvement.
• Influence teams and functions to adopt standardized approaches, strengthen cross-system coordination, and use modern engineering practices and tools for UAT data operations.
• Serve as the accountable technical leader for design and operational decisions affecting UAT data provisioning, platform scalability, and day-to-day stability.
