Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment: Conduct thorough age-specific assessments and re-assessments, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather comprehensive medical histories. Document findings accurately following unit policies.
• Diagnosis: Identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, infection control, environmental, and educational needs. Prioritize care based on assessments and prepare tailored patient and family education.
• Planning and Outcomes: Work closely with healthcare teams to develop and revise individualized care and education plans aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes, incorporating input from patients and families.
• Implementation: Deliver age-appropriate respiratory care using evidence-based interventions. Coordinate with community resources and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness of respiratory interventions, patient responses, and educational efforts, adjusting care plans as necessary.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Up to ten years of relevant experience preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Must obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care within one year of hire and maintain active status.
• Active Respiratory Care Provider license from the appropriate state health professions bureau required.
