TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: RN License required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Must be able to manage insulin and heparin drips. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. Travelers must be able to work holidays. There may be a possibility of taking care of COVID patients. Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team. Charge role is preferred for night travelers. The patient ratio is expected to be 1:6. Travelers will be assigned to every other weekend. Call is required if placed on a prescheduled shift. Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may be necessary. Daily census is approximately 43, covering adults and geriatrics. General Med/Surg patients will be treated. Special procedures on the unit include heparin drips and wound vac dressing changes. High flow oxygen is available, and limited short-term BiPap with respiratory support may occur. No additional training is needed, and it is appropriate for all Med/Surg nurses. No PCU level patients will be in this unit. All staff are required to attend unit team meetings held monthly. Meetings are scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month from January through October. In November and December, meetings will be held on the 3rd Wednesday. Additional meetings for night shift staff will be conducted the following Friday at 7:30 AM after Wednesday meetings. All travelers and staff must participate in these meetings. Candidate must complete EKG testing before starting in this specialty. Contract staff may be required to report during a catastrophic event or disaster. Unit requires all staff to be open to floating within or near the facility.
