Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor at New Patterns Therapy, your daily responsibilities will involve:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and emotional well-being to determine their unique needs.
• Creating tailored treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices and utilize preferred therapeutic approaches.
• Facilitating regular virtual therapy sessions, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and other modalities to promote client growth.
• Continuously engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and stay current with the latest research and therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will encompass a range of demographics, including adolescents, adults, and families, each presenting with diverse mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. You will work to provide culturally responsive and inclusive treatment, ensuring every individual feels seen, heard, and supported in their mental health journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field.
• A valid California license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• Two years of clinical experience, preferably in a remote or telehealth setting.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with expertise in culturally responsive therapeutic methodologies, along with experience in specific therapeutic techniques (e.g., mindfulness, EMDR, or trauma-informed care), will be given preference. Previous experience working in outpatient settings or with varied client populations enhances suitability for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

New Patterns Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
