Senior Accountant, Family Office

Financial Operations Consultant at Selby Jennings Position: Senior Accountant Location: New York City Job Type: Hybrid (1 day WFH) Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year + Bonus, depending on YoE Client/Job Summary: Our client, a prestigious wealth management firm with over $70B in AUM, is seeking a Senior Accountant within their Partner Services / Family Office division. You will work directly under the Family Office Controller to manage personal assets and direct investments that GPs are responsible for. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual). Improve financial reporting policies and procedures. Provide insights and analysis on financial performance to management and investors. Serve as the primary liaison for the Partner Services / Family Office business, including internal time and cost allocation, scope of services, etc. Prepare monthly financials for each Partner, including detailed balance sheets, income statements, and investment sub-ledgers; prepare budgets and forecasts. Perform reconciliations of cash and credit card transactions for personal assets and spending. Manage accounting software for the Family Office and record journal entries. Review tax returns prepared by external providers and develop tax strategies for Partners. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. CPA highly desired. 3-4 years of experience in a national accounting firm or within a family office/UHNW environment, or public accounting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
