Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is a distinguished institution, encompassing a 420‑bed teaching hospital, a dedicated trauma center, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a renowned geriatrics center. It hosts the Johns Hopkins Burn Center, the sole adult burn trauma facility in Maryland, and offers comprehensive urological and nephrology services. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) functions under the direct supervision of a physician, performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA maintains an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies, ensures efficient patient flow, organizes the clinic environment for safety, provides medication and procedure education to patients and families, and records care in the patient medical record. Education High school diploma or equivalent required Licensure/Certification Completion of CMA certification with credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA, or CMAA required prior to hire Valid BLS CPR certification required upon hire; accepted AHA, Red Cross, and military training network programs Work Experience Ideal candidate will have at least one year of CMA experience MA program externship for new medical assistants Salary Range: Minimum $18.09/hour - Maximum $29.87/hour.
