Food Safety & Brand Standards Specialist

Overview Food Safety Specialist – protect food safety standards for hotel, restaurant®, and grocery clients. Work on-site to ensure brand compliance and deliver superior guest experiences. Responsibilities Conduct assessments to measure compliance with regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards. Observe food preparation and cooking procedures to verify food safety, health, and sanitation practices. Partner with clients to address root causes of discrepancies and develop corrective action plans. Teach and coach clients on creating a safer, healthier work environment for employees and customers. Travel 50%-70% (8-10 days/month), including evening and weekend work. Perform audits and inspections of food services. Implement and monitor food safety training programs. Investigate food safety incidents and maintain incident documentation. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain accurate records. Qualifications Must be eligible for CP‑FS certification (proof of credentials required). Available Monday‑Friday, Saturdays, and evenings as needed. Valid driver’s license from state of residence. Strong knowledge of food safety preferred; ServSafe and/or CP‑FS certification advantageous. Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time‑management skills. Ability to influence others with tact and skill; provide clear, constructive feedback. Thrives in an autonomous working environment; can work a flexible schedule. Strong organizational skills to prioritize work based on urgency and efficiency.
