Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3x12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30 | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU settings as part of a float pool assignment, rotating across TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU as needed
• Float to various departments and facilities within the health system based on patient census and staffing needs
• Complete charting and documentation accurately using Epic
• Adhere to all unit-specific protocols, compliance requirements, and scheduling policies throughout the assignment
• Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
• Any prior employment with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submittal; RTO is subject to manager approval and no additional requests will be accepted mid-contract; RTO may not fall within the first two weeks of the assignment start date
• Local candidates are welcome and are subject to the same rates as traveling candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2.5 or more years of ICU experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
