Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, ensuring a patient-centered approach.
• Perform detailed physical examinations and order necessary diagnostic tests to evaluate patient conditions precisely.
• Administer injections, including trigger point and joint injections, with a focus on reducing patient discomfort and improving function.
• Prescribe medications while providing evidence-based pain management recommendations tailored to individual patient needs.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans in response to evolving patient conditions.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies and treatment plans, empowering them to take an active role in their health.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records to ensure compliance with legal and health regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care, share insights, and develop collaborative strategies for treatment.
• Inform patients about their health conditions, prescribed medications, and the importance of adherence to their treatment plans.
• Proactively advance professional knowledge through research, participation in medical conferences, and peer discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily work with a diverse patient population experiencing acute to chronic pain conditions. This includes individuals with musculoskeletal disorders, post-operative pain, and neuropathic pain, necessitating a keen understanding of various pain management techniques. You will play a central role in enhancing patient well-being and comfort through targeted treatment plans and educational initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in the State of New York.
• CERTIFICATION: Must hold a current PA-C certification.
• Possession of a DEA and NPI number is required for prescribing medications.

Preferred Experience

• A strong background in one or more relevant specialties, including acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, family health, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
• Previous experience within a pain management practice or related healthcare field is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and foster collaborative relationships with other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually, we offer an attractive package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
