Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.What you’ll doManage end-to-end accounting closeAccountable for ensuring timely close across all global entitiesMaintain accurate supporting documentation and reconciliationsReview accuracy and completeness of expenses including developing robust accrual processPrepare intercompany journal entries in compliance with intercompany agreementsPrepare consolidation entries (revaluation, translation, and eliminations)Assist with the preparation of the monthly reporting package including period-over-period analysisOversee daily accounting operationsManage the proper coding of vendor bills, corporate credit cards, and employee reimbursementsOversee timely application of global cash within the ERPCoordinate with payroll to review payroll journal entries and ensure all required payroll taxes are paidLead preparation of audit preparednessCoordinate with external auditors for timely submission of all required requests (Global Audit and local Statutory Audits)Proactive involvement in Finance Transformation initiatives to leverage AI and tooling to scaleEnhance or upgrade our our tech stack to enable the latest in AI technologyChallenge our processes and develop AI first approachWhat you'll bring5-10 years with a mix of public (highly regulated) and private (hyper growth)Proficient in US GAAP (revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock based compensation, etc)Ability to identify areas for improvement and build solutions using AIDesire to drive operational efficiency to scale the accounting functionA structured, self-directed, detail-oriented builder and problem solver who can design a process where none exists, run it, and improve it over time without being managed toward it.
