Chief Financial Officer

The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership as a key member of the executive team for a growing, multi-location manufacturing and construction materials company.

Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, cash flow management, financial reporting, and banking relationships while ensuring strong internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver financial insights and performance metrics to drive operational excellence across manufacturing, production, transportation, and project-based operations, with a focus on cost accounting, job costing, profitability, and productivity improvements.
• Oversee capital planning, financing strategies, debt management, and risk management, including insurance, bonding, environmental compliance, and relationships with lenders, auditors, and external advisors.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team while driving process improvements, automation, and financial transformation initiatives that support long-term business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA preferred; MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience within construction materials (aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete), heavy civil construction, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role (CFO, VP Finance, Controller, or equivalent).
• Experience managing finance operations within a $100M+ revenue company.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, capital-intensive operations, job costing, fleet and equipment management, and manufacturing and production accounting
• Proven experience with banking relationships, debt financing, and treasury management.
