Business Insights & Reporting Director

Job Title: Business Insights & Reporting Director Department: Finance About the Role: LHH is partnered with a global organization headquartered in the KC area to find a strategic and data-driven leader to join their team as Director of Business Insights and Reporting. This role will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and delivery of enterprise-wide business intelligence and reporting strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Oversee the design and implementation of dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to support executive leadership, operational teams, and strategic initiatives. Partner with Finance, Operations, and other business units to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting packages and ad hoc analyses. Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting processes, and analytics tools, leveraging automation and best-in-class technologies. Translate complex data into clear narratives and visualizations for senior leadership and board-level presentations. Manage and mentor a team of analysts and reporting specialists, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and excellence. Serve as a key liaison with IT and data governance teams to ensure data integrity and system integration across platforms. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, financial reporting, or data analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), and advanced Excel modeling. Strong analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights. Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional environments and presenting to executive stakeholders. Demonstrated success in building and scaling reporting functions and leading high-performing teams. Why Join Us?
