Our relatives come first and deserve the best.POSITION SUMMARY: Seattle Indian Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to build and expand our development efforts under the supervision and support of the Public Affairs Director. As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing, and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with SIHB's mission and goals. The Development Manager will plan and execute fundraising events to engage the community and raise awareness of the Seattle Indian Health Board's mission. Coordinate logistics, recruit volunteers, and manage event budgets to maximize impact.Organizational Structure/Reporting Relationships: This position reports directly to the Public Affairs Director and is a member of the Development team. At SIHB, you’ll serve the needs of our relatives first by delivering the highest quality, professional, responsive, and innovative care.Responsibilities: Donor Cultivation and Fundraising Foster and track all donor relationships. Ensure robust and timely donor appreciation. Constantly identify prospects and appropriate opportunities for building relationships with private, public, and corporate philanthropy. Coordinate fundraising goals, logistics, communications, and donor solicitations for Give Big and other community fundraising days like Giving Tuesday. Process and track incoming donations/pledges in Excel.Collaborate with Communications Team to develop and implement social media strategies for events. Help to create and implement a comprehensive content fundraising strategy aligned with our organizational goals and target audience. Ensure work is aligned with broader, long-term development goals.Maintain development workflows and respond to requests promptly.Collaborate with our team of external grant writers.Plan and execute, in collaboration with the development team annual fundraising events.Provide oversight for the planning and implementation of fundraising events.Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE: Three-five years of experience in a fundraising/development role.Ability to take directions well, complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision, take initiative, and collaborate with staff in a multi-cultural environment.Track-record of raising support from a variety of sources. Proven ability to connect with and align people, organizations, and community partners toward common purposes.Demonstrated passion and commitment to the types of programs and services SIHB provides.Experience with Every Action or similar platform preferred. Proficiency in PC skills and applications (MS Office: Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to work with a wide variety of peopleExcellent attention to detailStrong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong digital writing skillsStrong written and verbal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks and develop timelines/checklists for executing activities and events. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Ability to take direction from more than one person. Willingness to receive and respond to constructive feedback. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Work evening and weekend hours multiple times throughout the year (our events).Work Environment: Team members work for ten hours per day, four days per week, with occasional weekend or evening hours to staff events. Team members may be granted exemption to the 4/10 schedule for legitimate childcare issues and/or legitimate healthcare concerns.
