In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. DayTimeSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and/or document security-related concerns, maintenance issues, or policy violations for follow-up by site leadership.
- Support a professional environment by giving directions, answering questions from the public, and/or communicating with local personnel and first responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
