This full-time, remote position involves providing specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, with some responsibilities taking place in our outpatient office located in Bel Air, Maryland. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential flexibility required based on patient needs. Working within this supportive environment, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to deliver integrated patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and determine the most effective treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement patient-centric treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, incorporating resilience-building practices tailored to individual needs.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process their trauma and foster coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention, support, and immediate responses during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in adherence to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
\n
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development that enrich the trauma-informed care framework at our facility.

• Stay current with research, best practices, and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals impacted by trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will require a deep understanding of the nuances of trauma responses and the ability to address their needs compassionately and effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
\n
• Two years of post-licensure experience preferred.
\n
• Expertise in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, characterized by compassion and a non-judgmental attitude.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios and provide empathetic support to patients.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and standard computer applications.
\n
• A strong collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience working directly with trauma survivors and applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
