Recruiting Operations Manager

Our Healthcare Insurance client is looking for a Talent/Recruiting Operations Associate to join their team on a 6‑month hybrid assignment (with a possible conversion to full-time based on performance). The primary job role is for Phoenix, AZ, but we will consider candidates for our clients New York City office. You’ll be the engine behind our clients most critical talent programs—from performance cycles and engagement surveys to recruiting workflows and data reporting. You’ll be expected to execute defined processes with high precision, but also to look at those processes and tell us how to make them better. Whether you are manipulating complex data sets in Excel, drafting a proposal for a new workflow, or building a slide deck for leadership, you are comfortable shifting between "thinking" and "doing." What You’ll Do Talent Program Execution: Manage the day‑to‑day logistics for talent cycles (Attraction, Performance, Engagement, and Learning). This includes everything from updating cycle copy and managing LMS enrollments to tracking completion rates and troubleshooting system issues for employees. Data & Insights: Pull recurring and ad‑hoc reports across our HR stack (Workday, Greenhouse, etc.). You’ll manipulate this data to create charts, pivot tables, and dashboards that help us understand headcount, hiring metrics, and performance trends. Communications & Special Projects: Take rough ideas or data points and turn them into polished, professional outputs. You’ll draft internal announcements, build slide decks for talent reviews, and take the first pass at project proposals. Operational Optimization: Identify "friction" in our current workflows. You’ll help refine our Alteryx workflows (or learn how to!) and ensure our data integrity is bulletproof across all systems. Cross‑Functional Partnership: Act as a key point of contact for the broader People team, ensuring that talent operations seamlessly support the candidate and employee experience. What You Bring Experience: 2–4 years in Talent Operations, Recruiting Operations, HR Operations, or People Analytics in a fast paced environment. The "Data Gear": You are a pro in Excel/Google Sheets (vlookups, index/match, and pivot tables are second nature). You have a "QC mindset"—you spot data errors before anyone else does. System Savvy: Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms (Workday and Greenhouse preferred). You are a quick learner of new tools and can effectively manage data and processes within these environments. Communication Skills: You can write clearly and concisely. You have experience building decks that tell a story, not just list bullet points. High Discretion: You have experience handling sensitive and confidential employee data with the utmost integrity and professionalism. Self‑Starter Mentality: You are comfortable working independently, adapting your approach to solve new problems, and managing multiple deadlines without losing your cool. What Makes You Stand Out Self‑starter and ability to work with minimal oversight. Prior Experience with recruiting, marketing and operations. Technical Curiosity: Experience with (or a strong desire to learn) Alteryx and Tableau. Cycle Experience: You’ve lived through a high‑volume performance or engagement cycle and know how to manage the "chaos" of those windows.
