Details for Accounts Payable Clerk position:

• $18-20 / Hour
• Monday-Friday | 8am-5pm (w/ 1 Hour Lunch)
• Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job Duties for Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Process accounts payable invoices and gather necessary documentation for assigned accounts
• Verify vendor invoice accuracy by matching them with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Post invoices promptly in the accounting system while ensuring accurate vendor and payment due dates
• Code invoices to general ledger expense accounts based on purchase orders, updating records daily
• Issue vendor checks as directed by CFO/Controller, applying discounts for timely payments
• Collect EINs, SSNs, W-9s, and W-8s from vendors for year-end 1099 preparation
• Prepare 1099s by year-end to meet IRS deadlines
• Ensure proper filing and storage of records for potential audits
• Cross-train department staff in Accounts Payable and reporting functions
• Follow all policies and procedures in place
• Assist CFO with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications for Accounts Payable Clerk :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior 2 years of A/P experience in an ERP system preferred
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to sit for duration of shift
