Territory Sales Representative

Overview The Territory Sales Representative closes sales through face‑to‑face interaction with customers in assigned territories. They meet with potential and existing customers to present sales proposals and inform them of product benefits and features. The Retail Sales Representative will play a key role in increasing distribution and display activity by managing and negotiating with clients, researching sales competition, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services. Responsibilities Make a significant positive impact on sales and improving the consumer buying experience Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all client products & services (subject matter expert) to educate in‑store personnel through effective sales training including demonstrations, role‑play and side‑by‑side selling Build strong professional relationships with all in‑store personnel and client vendors/partners Expand brand presence through effective and creative merchandising, maintain brand image and planogram compliance at defined locations Identify sales barriers/challenges – problem‑solve at store level and accelerate unresolved issues through proper channels Gather and report on competitive intelligence including, but not limited to: sales tactics, price moves, promotions, new products, merchandising materials, compensation and store support Sell‑in additional brands at existing locations and grow distribution through new business development Complete call reports, administrative tasks, and ongoing personal training accurately and in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Be able to bend/stoop/squat/kneel throughout the workday Be able to push/pull/reach/twist throughout the workday Be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Be able to push/pull weight up to 50 lbs. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with team members, peers, management and external customer contacts Must be able to read and follow a plan‑o‑gram (POG) Must possess good problem‑solving skills Must be able to use an iPad/Tablet Must have trip planning skills and comfort with driving a commercial van (Ford Transit Connect or similar) Sales or consumer goods experience a plus Acosta, and its subsidiaries, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
