Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments through interviews with students, observations, and reviews of their academic and medical records to understand emotional, social, and environmental factors that impact their progress.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing topics such as anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment to various life changes.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with education staff and parents, focusing on the psychosocial needs of each student.

• Assist students in identifying and accessing community resources that support their mental health, including support groups, recreational activities, and tutoring services.

• Offer guidance and educational resources to parents and families concerning their child's mental health and available resources post-rehabilitation.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring continuous improvement in the services provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with students from diverse backgrounds, ranging in age and presenting varying challenges related to mental health, emotional difficulties, and socio-environmental stressors. This population may include students with special educational needs, trauma histories, and those experiencing significant life transitions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.

Compensation and Benefits\n
