Call Center Banking Representative (Telephone Banking) Location: Louisville, KY Remote Status: On-Site Role Responsible for assisting members and potential members with telephone and electronic correspondence requests, answering questions about products and services, resolving issues within authority, processing transactions, and directing calls to the appropriate department when necessary. The representative also identifies cross‑sell opportunities, maintains accurate member account information, and supports remote service requests. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Assist members and potential members with telephone and electronic correspondence requests while meeting service standards. Answer questions about products and services, resolve issues within authority, and provide applications as requested; refer unresolved problems to a supervisor with recommendations. Process remote contact requests in the same manner as telephone requests. Identify cross‑sell opportunities and recommend appropriate services to members. Maintain an action log as required for review. Perform transactions related to ATM/Debit Card programs, including ordering cards, placing blocks, and providing information regarding these transactions. Maintain knowledge of all products and services offered and follow security policies. Maintain member account information on the computer system and ensure appropriate records are kept. Assist other departments as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Performance Measurements Represent the credit union’s culture, supporting its mission to build thriving communities. Provide friendly, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and coworkers. Answer telephone calls within three rings and respond to written correspondence within 24 hours. Process member transactions with zero errors. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of policies and procedures and remain compliant with all regulations. Maintain a professional work environment and promote teamwork and respect among coworkers. Follow all security policies, reporting discrepancies or suspicious activity to management immediately. Knowledge and Skills Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience. Education: Equivalent to a high school education. Interpersonal Skills: Diplomacy, trust, courtesy, and the ability to build relationships with external entities. Other Skills: Good listening and telephone skills. Physical Requirements Work is performed in a general office environment. Responsibilities include sitting, standing, walking short distances, using hands to handle currency and documents, operating office equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
