Job Description

Seeking motivated Production Machine Operators. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career in manufacturing. In this role, you will operate production equipment, prepare and process steel materials used for large-scale construction projects, and rotate through various production tasks. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

No experience with every machine is required. Training will be provided for employees who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Prepare, cut, process, and assemble steel materials according to specifications
• Operate or train on equipment such as shears, presses, saws, and other production machinery
• Use tape measures and basic measuring tools to verify dimensions and accuracy
• Use hand and power tools to complete production and assembly work
• Rotate between different workstations and production responsibilities as needed
• Perform material handling, packing, fabrication, and general labor duties
• Assist with organizing materials, cleanup, and maintaining production areas
• Work closely with team members to meet daily production and quality goals
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adapt to changing production needs and work required overtime when scheduled

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, construction, general labor, or machine operating experience is preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
• Ability and willingness to learn how to operate production machinery
• Comfortable performing physical, fast-paced work throughout the shift
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
• Dependable attendance and reliable work habits
• Willingness to learn multiple positions and rotate between production tasks
• Ability to work safely in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Must be comfortable working 2nd shift after completing training
• Must be flexible and available for mandated overtime, including extended shifts and occasional Saturdays

Schedule & Training

New employees will train on 1st shift for approximately 14 weeks before transitioning to the regular 2nd-shift schedule.

Regular 2nd Shift:

• MondayThursday: 4:00 PM 12:30 AM
• Friday: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM

** Overtime may be mandatory based on production needs. When overtime is scheduled, employees must be open to 10-hour shifts, occasional Saturdays, and working as late as approximately 2:30 AM. Overtime schedules are generally posted the Thursday prior.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marthasville, MO.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
