Payroll Analyst Nonprofit Organization Contract-To-Hire
A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to support its payroll, general ledger, and benefits functions. This contract-to-hire position reports directly to the CFO.
The contract period is expected to last approximately two to three months before conversion to permanent employment. The position will be on-site for the first 90 days, followed by a hybrid schedule.
Qualifications
- At least five years of payroll experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization
- General ledger and account reconciliation experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience processing biweekly payroll for 100 130 employees
- Benefits administration experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll for 100 130 employees.
- Research and resolve payroll and benefits discrepancies.
- Prepare payroll reports, accounting spreadsheets, and monthly journal entries.
- Transfer labor data into the payroll system and general ledger.
- Reconcile payroll- and HR-related general ledger accounts.
- Train new employees on payroll systems, timekeeping, and coding procedures.
- Partner with the HR Manager to evaluate and administer employee benefit plans.
- Analyze plan designs, costs, and proposed benefit changes.
- Coordinate with benefit vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment during onboarding and open enrollment.
