Payroll Administrator Responsibilities Pay employees by calculating pay and deductions, processing garnishments/levies, and issuing checks. Resolve payroll discrepancies/complaints by collecting and analyzing information. Comply with government and company policies and conduct internal auditing of all payroll records. Maintain accuracy and resolve problems associated with benefits, W-2s, unemployment and withholding tax. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understand and follow applicable provisions. Maintain payroll related tax accounts including registration, termination and updates. Assist with preparing and reconciling journal entries and accruals in conjunction with the accounting team. Receive requests and maintain accurate records/reports/accruals for PTO and float time. Process account funding of 401K, HSA, FSA and any other employee‑led contribution accounts. Help the Finance department as needed, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audits. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experienced in Multi‑State Payroll and Tax. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion. Sharp attention to detail, very accurate and highly organized. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V‑Lookups, and other moderate level functions. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, Windows. SAP SuccessFactors a plus. Knowledge of MS Office Suite and MS Teams. Works well in a high volume, fast‑paced, rapidly changing work environment. Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills essential. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3–5 years of payroll experience required. Benefits Medical, vision, and health savings accounts with employer contribution.
