Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Irvington, NJ. This role is onsite 4+ days per week.Summary:Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing company in Central New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with finance leadership in a highly visible role supporting corporate accounting, fixed assets, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.Key Responsibilities:

• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities
• Manage fixed asset accounting, capitalization, and CIP tracking
• Process and review employee expense reports
• Support project accounting and maintain project records
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
• Assist with consolidated financial reporting and account analysis
• Partner with Accounts Payable and other departments to resolve outstanding items
• Analyze financial results and explain significant account fluctuations

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• ERP experience required (Dynamics 365 preferred)
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with fixed assets and project accounting preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
