Work Environment

The role of a Physical Therapist Assistant is carried out onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility located in Stuart, Florida. Our work environment is characterized by a positive and motivating atmosphere where teamwork and communication are valued. You will be part of an energetic group that operates 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM during the week, with options for four 10-hour shifts to promote work-life balance and eliminate weekend work. This structure is designed not only for patient convenience but for optimal team cooperation.

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists to implement customized treatment plans designed for individual patients.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, demonstrating techniques that facilitate their recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy activities as necessary to meet patient goals.
• Ensure all therapy equipment is properly maintained, organized, and ready for use, reinforcing a safe and professional treatment environment.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises and care strategies to promote self-management and engagement in their rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be helping a diverse range of patients, primarily individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The patients you assist will span various age groups and backgrounds, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your ability to adapt your communication and treatment strategies to suit the individual will be crucial in fostering effective therapies and encouraging patient success.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families effectively.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedics setting, specializing in therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time PTA position ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and educational background.
