Turning Machinist 2nd Shift

Compensation: Base pay + 15% Shift Pay. 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30PM - 2:00AM + overtime as needed. $3,000.00 Sign On Bonus (paid in two payments: $1,500 after 90 days, $1,500 after 180 days). Job Summary We are seeking a TURNING MACHINIST to join our team. An ideal candidate is passionate about their work and committed to quality, service, excellence, and innovation. Responsibilities Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines for turning, boring, threading, and facing on metal and plastic workpieces. Read and understand blueprints, job routings, setup sheets, charts for specifications including dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools. Load and set tools, understand runout, tool length stickouts, and proper holders. Recognize, adjust or replace dull or chipped tooling. Set and adjust work offsets, tool wear lengths, and cutter compensation. Adjust work shift offsets of tools at each station. Run multiple machines when cycle time permits. Perform quality control documentation of tolerance zones on blueprints. Straighten parts per work instructions or setup sheets. Handle other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Education & Experience Associate's Degree in machining or equivalent education and experience. Minimum 2-5 years of CNC machinist experience. Skills & Abilities Listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T principles. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet deadlines. Problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to think independently. Capability to work in other areas as needed. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Collaboration and teamwork.
