Job Summary

A construction related company in Novato, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate records, managing AP/AR, reconciling accounts, and working closely with leadership to keep financial information organized and audit-ready.

The Bookkeeper will use QuickBooks to enter handwritten invoices, categorize transactions, manage vendor and customer activity, and prepare monthly financial reports. This is a great opportunity for someone who values stability, accuracy, and a collaborative office environment where dependable work directly supports business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Enter, categorize, and code bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks with a high level of accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable, including creating customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor bills, payment terms, and outgoing payments.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and support accurate month-end close processes.
- Process payroll using Paychex, including deductions and employee reimbursements.
- Generate monthly financial statements, including Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheets, for management review.
