What you'll bring:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsement
• Experience working with students who have mild to moderate special needs preferred
• Strong understanding of developing and implementing IEPs
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment
• Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills

What you'll do:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to special education students, focusing on their individual goals
• Develop, manage, and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Track and communicate students’ progress, challenges, and successes to all stakeholders
• Utilize best practices, adapt materials, and adjust teaching strategies to address diverse learning styles
• Create a positive, welcoming atmosphere where all students feel supported and understood
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
