Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement
• Knowledge and experience supporting students with mild to moderate special needs
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Dedication to collaboration with colleagues, administrators, and families to promote student success
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with special needs
• Assess students’ skills and learning requirements; monitor progress toward goals
• Develop, implement, and document IEPs in accordance with state requirements
• Facilitate small group and one-on-one sessions tailored to each student's goals
• Create a positive, nurturing environment that encourages student participation and confidence
• Maintain regular communication with families, team members, and support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional learning community activities
