About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Advancement Officer to serve as its senior philanthropic leader and a vital part of the executive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in all areas of contributed revenue, including annual giving, major and principal gifts, planned giving, and corporate and foundation relations. A key aspect of the role is to foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization and to lead a significant comprehensive campaign. The Chief Advancement Officer will work closely with the President and CEO, the Board of Directors, and dedicated volunteers to inspire transformational philanthropy and deepen relationships with the most significant donors and prospects. This role demands an individual with a strong background in fundraising, a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading successful fundraising initiatives, be adept at managing and cultivating donor relationships, and possess the strategic vision to shape the future of the organization through philanthropic support. Personal qualities such as genuine relationship building, directness, discretion, and steadiness are highly valued. The Chief Advancement Officer will play a pivotal role in the organization's mission, and the position offers a unique opportunity to leave a lasting philanthropic legacy within one of Arizona's premier cultural institutions.
