Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Prime Staffing Pay: $2,070 per week Shift: Days – 4 days per week (07:00‑19:30) Contract: 13 weeks – start 8/3/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is partnering with Prime Staffing to place a qualified Med/Surg RN in St. Louis. The role involves 4‑day shifts of 12 hours, with 36–48 hours per week options. Candidates will work in a short‑term acute care facility serving adults with a range of general medical and neurological conditions. Responsibilities Manage and care for patients with general medical/surgical and neurological diagnoses such as MS, ALS, GBS, stroke, epilepsy, tumors, and infections. Perform procedures including lumbar punctures, lumbar drains, Foley catheter insertion, IV starts, G‑tube feeding, and tracheostomy care. Chart and document patient care using EPIC. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, etc.) and float to neurosurgery or the stroke unit as needed. Maintain patient safety, infection control, and follow facility protocols. Qualifications Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of charge experience. Patient ratios 1:4‑5 for day and night shifts. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Relias EKG exam. Proficient in EPIC charting and IV/central line management. MO license required (or a compact license held in Missouri). Able to submit a valid license within the required timeframe. Additional Details Must be 75+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted. Floats within the service line and may cover weekends as required. Travel allowance provided; parking is available through the facility’s public safety office.
