Labor/Groundskeeper/Landscaper/Heavy Equipment Operator
SGS Consulting
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate hand-held tools and landscaping equipment including: Shovel, Pick, Rake, Sledgehammer, Lawn mower, Weed trimmer, Leaf blower, Chainsaw, Pump.
- Operate heavy/mechanical equipment including: Dump truck, Tractor, Utility vehicle, Dump trailer, Jackhammer, Tamper, Backhoe.
- Perform cemetery grounds maintenance and burial support activities
- Measure and mark areas accurately using tape measures and yardsticks
- Lift and move materials up to 30 lbs.
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, and adverse weather conditions
- Follow safety procedures and communicate effectively with team members and client families
Skills:
- Valid driver’s license required — no exceptions
- Mechanical aptitude
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work weekends as needed
- Team-oriented and dependable
- Ability to report to work on time consistently
Education/Experience:
- Prior experience operating landscaping or heavy equipment preferred
